Surely Darren Lehmann, as head coach, should not have allowed his captain to deliver a ‘concocted’ press statement on Saturday evening – which added insult to injury for Aussie fans.
Surely Darren Lehmann, with all his playing and coaching experience, should not be encouraging his captain -and his players – to illegally tamper with the ball.
Surely Darren Lehmann knows that WINNING IS NOT SUSTAINABLE if one chooses to cheat.
Here’s why
Winning has a potent cocktail – which drives sustained success and significance:
F.C.B : FAITH. CONFIDENCE & BELIEF
FAITH: Supreme faith in a higher power, coupled with an unwavering faith in one’s own ability to get the job done (without having to resort to cheating)
CONFIDENCE: Confidence is the key ingredient of form. Cheating undermines confidence.
BELIEF:Belief drives performance.Cheating self-destructs and destroys belief.
Cheating compromises one’s own integrity, undermines self – worth and creates self – doubt in one‘s own ability to get the job done
By choosing to collectively cheat, the Australian cricket team will find it very difficult to bounce back from this one.
It’s time for a new head coach for Australian cricket – a new mentor to guide the Aussie players.
