COVID-19. Maydays or Heydays? Here are some of the positives which one can draw from the pandemic.

Panic or poise ? Maydays or Heydays ?

With the media all having a field day in sensationalizing the pandemic, things are looking a little bleak on most fronts.

But, from every crisis – stems opportunity.

Especially for those who think in the Warren Buffett way.

Here are three positives which one can draw from the corona virus outbreak:

CAPITALISING ON THE STOCK MARKET PLUNGE.

While institutional buyers are fostering market panic with forced sell-offs, wise investors have turned to buying – buying into companies with sound fundamentals – at increasing discounts.

It’s “HEYDAYS” for the shrew long term investor – as long as one is not speculating!

Of course, one has to have an appetite for some risk as no one has a clue when Mr. Market will hit rock bottom.

You have to have Faith, Confidence and Belief ( FCB-20 ) – in that COVID-19 will reach a turnaround point sooner rather than later –  as the bitterly cold northern winter wanes.

Hang on, the equinox is only a few days away.

BRINGING US ALL CLOSER TOGETHER

While the disease calls for social distancing to avoid its exponential growth – the disease also has the potential to unite us.

United we are strong . Divided we are weak : President Cyril Ramphosa

This is definitely NOT a time to panic, but a time for South Africans to unite in purpose – so we can all bring about a halt to this worldwide pandemic, together.

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success : Henry Ford

We will come out of this #STRONGERTOGETHER. #STRONGERCOMMUNITY

COVID-19 is a culture HEYDAYS opportunity for us South Africans .

There can be no better time for us to foster our communities – and put ourselves to the test.

PUTTING YOUR OWN TRUE POTENTIAL TO THE TEST.

The third ‘HEYDAYS” is more on a personal front.

Warren Buffett believes that less than 5 % of people get anything like their potential horsepower translated into their actual horsepower.

Potential exceeds realisation for most of us.

That’s because most people like to remain in their comfort zones.

Well, COVID-19 is certain to take a lot of people out of their comfort zones – and present challenge. Plan A’s will need to be replaced by Plans B, C & D.

In times of crisis there always seems to be more latitude to challenge the norm.

And that’s a good thing for your own personal development.

Take this opportunity to power up your own potential.

Now is the near perfect time to go in search of out the box opportunities.

As the saying goes :

When the going gets tough – the tough get going.

Go Well.

And remember a healthy chunk of FCB-20 goes a long way to combatting COVID-19 ……………..
